RSS feed and its working

RSS stands for Rich Site Summery or Really Simple Syndication which in turn let you know the latest updates of the site if you subscribe to it. The website will send you the daily updates made to the site or blog with your permission so you can stay up to date with the new posts or news. Put simply, it’s a feed that takes regularly updated content from a site or blog and send it to you if you have accepted to receive so that there would not be need of checking site for regular updates. Now the blogs automatically create RSS feeds like calendars, news updates etc. The feed is created as simple XML files and stored on the server till someone subscribes them.

For website administrators, RSS feeds are the best way to advertise the new updated content on their sites without the headache of sending mass email newsletters. The file which is stored on server as XML file contains the main URL, a set of items which includes the title of the content, a link to the content on the site and a brief description. The old method of RSS was to send emails of the updates of the site to people. But now RSS completely does it automatically. When you subscribe a RSS feed, it means that all the new content updated on your site will be available to your regular readers so that they can copy the link and put it in to their RSS software.

Many people describe RSS feed as News feed. Its like I m subscribing for a magazine and the updated magazine I m getting every month. And you can get RSS feed of your favorite sites in your mail box by just one click. There are many websites available that offer free news readers like Bloglines, My Yahoo, Google Reader, Feed Demon and many more.

Create PPC campaign step by step

PPC is the term used to describe the ads you see on top of the natural search results when you are searching on the web.PPC stands for Pay per Click. Its one type of advertising program which allows bids for every click on your ad. Google provides one powerful tool –Adwords for creating PPC campaign which is a great way to attract customers to your site. Its very easy to setup an Adwords account by following its guidelines within few minutes. Here I have made it simpler to create a PPC campaign and see it running after few minutes:

•    Get started by visiting the Google Adwords page https://adwords.google.com and click on Start Now.
•    First, you need to setup a Google account for it. If you have existing account and you are ok to use it with Adwords then you just need to login with Username and Password.
•    Then there comes to choose currency in which you are going to pay for every click. All payments will be done by this currency only.
•    After completing these steps, you need to verify your account, if you have created a new one. If you are using the existing username and password then there is no need to verify. You can start simply by logging in to account.
•    After logging into the account, you need to submit the billing information. You don’t require to pay anything now because still your account is not active and ads are not running until you provide complete details for billing.
•    The next step is to create a campaign which you will see running on web after few minutes. Now that’s the fun part that you will enjoy the most. In your account, click on the “create your first campaign” button.
•    You just need to do some ad settings like audience in which you have to select the language in which you are going to create campaign. After that you have to choose networks and devices i.e. where you you want your ads running. By default it will show your ad to the relevant audience on Google network. Then you have to enter the amount which you want to spend on average each day for this campaign. Then you have to enter CPC bid which the maximum amount you will pay for every click on your ad.
•    Then comes the text ads that will appear on web which include headline, two lines of description, a display URL which shows the address of your site and a destination URL which redirects the user on your site for its click on your ad.
•    Then you need to do keyword research for which you want your ad should appear. You must have to choose such keywords which searches can trigger your ad.
•    After creating the campaign, you just need to activate your ads by entering the billing information to your account. After entering the billing details, you will see your ads running.
•    You can measure success of your campaign by checking how your ads are performing after a few weeks. You can change your budget accordingly and continue to adjust your budget over time till you find the right balance.

Hopefully the steps I have described above are helpful to create a successful PPC campaign and to make your profits grow with the every click.
